By accessing or using Roote (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Roote Labs, Inc. ("Roote," "we," "our," or "us"). We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after we post changes constitutes your acceptance.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Roote. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
Roote is currently in closed beta. Access is granted by invitation only. You agree not to share your access credentials or invite link without our explicit permission. Beta features may change, be removed, or be replaced without notice.
Roote is a personal data tracking and experiment logging tool. It is not a medical device, and nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information provided by Roote — including AI-generated summaries, trend analysis, and protocol suggestions — is for informational and personal research purposes only.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, supplementation, medication, exercise, or any other health-related behavior. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or see in the Service.
Self-experimentation (n=1 research) carries inherent risks. By using Roote, you acknowledge that:
You retain ownership of all health data, notes, and other content you submit to Roote ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant Roote a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display it solely to provide the Service to you.
We may use de-identified, aggregated data derived from Your Content to improve our models and the Service. We will never identify you personally in such analysis without your explicit consent.

All software, design, copy, and other materials in the Service (excluding Your Content) are owned by or licensed to Roote Labs, Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Roote's branding, trademarks, or proprietary technology.
Roote may integrate with third-party services (e.g. wearables, lab platforms). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roote Labs, Inc. and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any health outcomes — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Roote Labs, Inc. and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings or by emailing support@tryroote.com. Sections 5, 6, 9, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
